Are you ready to “Cut the Cord” and save?

Over 1.4 Million people have cancelled their cable TV this year.

Are you ready to “Cut the Cord” and save?

Cord Cutting is at an all time high. More and more people are cancelling their cable TV and Satellite TV subscriptions for internet based programming.

There have never been more options for programming and it seems there are new offerings every day. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, and streaming services like the new OmniBox, that offers over 800 channels, the major networks, ESPN, ESPN2, for $29.95 per mo. You can get Showtime and HBO subscriptions online as well.

Another option for free programming is your local TV stations. The FCC mandated that TV stations install digital transmitters and now most Americans can receive 30 or more free local channels over the air with a simple antenna.

As millions say goodbye to the high cost of cable, there will be more and development of programming for cord cutters.

So how does all this work? What do you need to cut the cord?

It’s really not that complicated.

You need three things:

• A set top box, or smart TV that gives you access to internet based services like Netflix, Hulu, etc. Or maybe a streaming service like OmniBox TV.

• An antenna to receive your free local HD, over the air channels

• A high speed (10 Mb or more) internet connection with unlimited data.

Most internet connections from cable companies, DSL, and satellite based services have data caps. Moving all that video programming over the internet piles up the data usage quickly and if you don’t have an unlimited connection you could be in for a surprise when you get your monthly bill.
Seek out a company such as Bluebird Broadband, that offers high speeds and unlimited data usage, and stream away.

When you cut the cord with an unlimited data plan you may find that you enjoy the freedom to choose your programming and some really nice savings.
